Trace N’ Tangle" is a thrilling reverse engineering event that tests creativity, logic, and problem-solving as participants deconstruct complex systems, solve puzzles, and think backward to uncover innovative solutions.

ROUND 1

Backtrace Objective

In this 20-minute round, teams of two face a reverse-engineering puzzle where only the system’s final output is shown. They must creatively reconstruct a possible block diagram with at least five processing stages (excluding input/output). One member then explains the circuit backward, from output to input. Rules forbid mobiles, copying, or exceeding time limits, with penalties for extra hints. Scoring: Completion – 20 pts, Accuracy – 20 pts, Clarity – 10 pts, Time Bonus – 15/10/5 pts. The top 12 teams, based on scores, will qualify for the next round.

ROUND 2

Chainlink

Part A – Sync & Solve (10 mins): One member views the full system for 30 seconds and verbally conveys its logic (no gestures/sketches) to their partner, who solves a non-electrical jigsaw resembling the system. Scoring: Jigsaw Completion – 15 points; Speed Bonus – 10 points (1st), 5 points (others). Part B – Path Decoder (10 mins): After solving the puzzle, teams receive three translucent cards with partial paths. Correct stacking reveals one true path to their circuit. Scoring: Correct Path – 20 points; Penalty – -5 per wrong attempt.

ROUND 2

The Neural Engine

Qualified teams must complete three sequential tasks to advance: first, the Math Cross Puzzle, a sudoku-style number grid requiring logic and quick calculations; second, the Wire Identity Test, where teams deduce the functions of six unlabeled wires using a clue sheet and observed connections; and third, the Digital Mind Maze, which challenges them to analyze binary IDs, hashes, and misleading data to filter false entries and decode a final 4-digit lock code. Only by solving all tasks in order can teams unlock the code and secure qualification for the next round.

ROUND 3

The Core

The final stage features three tasks: Logic Grid Deduction, where teams match elements like people, devices, colors, and times using provided clues; Logic Lock Circuit, requiring the correct switch combination to light an LED based on logic rules; and Final Encrypt Key, which involves combining results from earlier rounds and reversing a given logic pattern to obtain the ultimate lock code. The first two teams to successfully submit the correct final code will be declared the winners and runners, securing their place at the top through precision, reasoning, and problem-solving under pressure.

Techer Suite is a two-round competition combining AI prompt design and clue-hunting, where teams demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork to triumph in dynamic, skill-driven challenges.

ROUND 1

Prompt Craft

Teams will be assigned a quirky, creative task (e.g., making ChatGPT argue with itself about whether AI should rule the world or describing a day in the life of a cloud that hates raining) and must craft five AI prompts designed to generate the best possible responses from models like ChatGPT or Gemini. Prompts will be judged on creativity, clarity, output quality, and length, with an emphasis on optimal phrasing that avoids unnecessary words. The challenge rewards teams that can think imaginatively while writing concise, powerful prompts that push AI to deliver engaging, high-quality outputs.

ROUND 2

Crypt Xplore

The challenge features two active zones: Clue Corner, where one member searches a box of paper balls (one clue at a time) to find topic-related hints, and Creative Corner, where the other member deciphers them to identify the theme word. Since the box contains mixed clues for multiple themes, teams must filter out only those matching their assigned topic. Once five correct clues are collected and decoded, the Creative Corner member must guess the final theme word. Teams rotate in action one after another within fixed intervals, testing speed, focus, and teamwork under pressure.

TechTronix is a two-round competition on digital circuits and electrical fundamentals, offering first and second-year students a platform to showcase problem-solving skills and circuit expertise.

ROUND 1

Circuit Theory Quiz

The first round tests participants’ fundamental understanding of electrical circuits, digital logic, and basic electronics, focusing on theoretical clarity and quick analytical thinking. Conducted in pen-and-paper MCQ format, it covers topics such as General Engineering Physics (resistors, capacitors), Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws, Logic Gates and Boolean Logic, and Basic Electrical Circuits. Each team of two will have 20–30 minutes to complete the quiz, designed to evaluate both conceptual grip and problem-solving speed.

ROUND 2

Build The Circuit

In this practical, hands-on round, teams of two must build a circuit based on their Round 1 result. To collect each required component, they must answer questions on its characteristics, applications, or limitations—correct answers earn components, while wrong or skipped ones add a +10 second penalty. Using the gathered parts, teams design, construct, and demonstrate a functional circuit combining logic gates. Scoring is based on circuit correctness and output accuracy, while winners are determined by accuracy of results and time efficiency. The round evaluates practical knowledge and application of theory within a 45-minute time limit.
